Errata, The Anglo-German Concertina: A Social History
Inevitably, there are a few glitches that eluded the best efforts of the author and editors. Please note two type faces in the
errata which follow:
1) Normal type designates errata that are in the First Edition only. Copies purchased directly from Amazon after 23 February
2010 will not have these minor errors, as a corrected second edition is now available.
2) Underlined type designates errata that pertain to both the First and Second Editions.
Volume 1, Chapter 1, p. 23, 2nd column, line two should read "management of his widow, Elisabeth Lachenal."
Volume 1, Chapter 1, p. 33, Figure 49: Caption should read "Three portraits (bottom of Victorians with ...."
Volume 1, Chapter 2, p. 79. Figure 33: Caption should read Hersh, not Hirsch.
Volume 1, Chapter 2, p. 154, Column 1, line 3: replace the word Lancashire with Newcastle.
Volume 1, Chapter 2, p. 159, Column 1, second paragraph, line 11: replace the word Lancashire with Newcastle.
Volume 1, Chapter 3, p. 232, Figure 27: Caption should read "Gearóid and Tiarnán Ó hAllmhuráin, March 2005."

Volume 1, Chapter 3, pages 223, 229, 249, 255: the correct spelling is Crehan, not Creehan.
Volume 2, Table of Contents, p. v, Margaret "Baby" Crehan, not Creehan.
Volume 2, Chapter 5, Figure 13, p. 22. The labels of the chart did not print. This is the correct version of the chart:
